Meet the Coaches

Grant Shieh

Head Coach

Grant Shieh is the Head Boys' Volleyball Coach and Assistant Girls’ Volleyball Coach for the Downingtown Area School District. He also teaches 8th-grade history at Lionville Middle School. A Bucks County native, Coach Grant was a four-year varsity libero at Council Rock North High School before competing for Temple University’s men’s club volleyball team. He began his coaching career at Council Rock in 2022 and previously served as a club coach for Royal Legends Volleyball Club in West Chester. Dedicated to fostering excellence both on and off the court, Coach Grant strives to instill teamwork, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for the game in each of his athletes. Outside of coaching and teaching, he enjoys participating in open gyms and adult leagues, working on his car, supporting Philadelphia sports teams, and exploring the outdoors.
